While Shafiqa Handicrafts excelled in international exports, domestic audiences had different expectations in terms of style, accessibility, and storytelling. The brand lacked a clear local identity, operational workflows were optimized for large-scale exports, and connecting artisans with domestic distribution channels was untested.
The challenge was to create a brand that resonated culturally, scaled efficiently, and translated the essence of Jaipur craftsmanship into a national market offering.
Our Process
We immersed ourselves in the craft, artisans, and domestic consumer landscape. Through research and ideation, we defined a brand positioning that celebrated authenticity while appealing to contemporary tastes. Product ranges were designed to bridge heritage and modernity, while operational workflows were mapped to support local sourcing, production, and distribution.
Service blueprints and strategic frameworks ensured that the brand experience, from product design to customer interaction, was coherent, scalable, and deeply rooted in craft storytelling.
The new brand enabled Shafiqa Handicrafts to confidently enter domestic markets. Products resonated with local audiences, combining cultural authenticity with modern relevance. Operational efficiencies ensured consistent quality, timely delivery, and scalable growth.
By integrating strategy, design, and operations, the project positioned Shafiqa Handicrafts as a credible national brand while preserving its Jaipur legacy, demonstrating how thoughtful design can translate craftsmanship into meaningful, widely accessible experiences.
Next projects.
