Travel platforms are optimized for speed, not stewardship. They often overlook the ecological and social footprint of tourism. Tourister lacked a strong identity to communicate its mission, and embedding sustainability into every part of the user journey was complex.
Without a compelling narrative and a cohesive experience, the platform risked being just another generic travel service.
Our Process
We began by immersing ourselves in the lives of travelers, local communities, and ecosystems to understand behaviors, motivations, and unmet needs. This research revealed opportunities to embed ecological impact at key touchpoints across the travel journey.
Using iterative ideation and prototyping, we designed features that make sustainable choices intuitive, elevate local voices, and foster meaningful connections. Every touchpoint was crafted to balance delight with responsibility, ensuring that responsible travel feels effortless, engaging, and deeply rewarding.
Tourister proves that travel can be immersive, responsible, and regenerative. It shows that digital platforms can amplify environmental awareness while delivering rich, meaningful experiences.
By placing ecology at the heart of design, Tourister sets a new standard for how the industry can innovate without compromising the planet.
Next projects.
